What is Permanent Makeup?

Makeup is a method that has been used for centuries to look aesthetically pleasing and to increase the emphasis on the face. One of the most preferred techniques in make-up, which has evolved and changed from past to present, is permanent make-up application. What is permanent makeup, which is the choice of many women?

What is Permanent Makeup?

As the answer to the question of what is permanent makeup; permanent makeup technique is the processing of natural minerals and colors under the skin. In micro pigment application, application is made using disposable needles. The colors injected under the skin are completely natural, additive-free and odorless substances.

Permanent makeup application is done in two ways:

Micropigmentation: This technique is the first technique applied in permanent makeup application. It is done with a device similar to a tattoo machine. With the needles on the tip, the selected colors are processed into the tissues under the skin.

Microblanding: In this method, a special pen with a needle tip is used instead of a device. With this pen, the selected colors are processed under the skin in the area.

Both methods are applied depending on the request and region.

Permanent makeup application is applied to the eye, lip and eyebrow area.

Permanent Eyebrow Makeup

Our eyebrows are very effective parts of our facial expression. For this reason, it is important that the eyebrows are properly shaped. Permanent eyebrow makeup can solve these problems in cases where the eyebrows are slanted, sparse or cannot be given the desired shape naturally.

In permanent eyebrow application, the eyebrow shape desired by the person is created. Then the procedure is performed according to the technique to be performed.

In eyebrow application;

Eyebrow contouring: The eyebrow is drawn as desired. Then the gaps are filled with the device. The permanence period is usually 3 to 5 years.

Microblanding: The eyebrow is drawn by dimensioning as desired. Then, with a fine-tipped pen, thin cuts are made on the parts to be filled. On the one hand, the incisions are colored. Since the hairs are drawn one by one, a natural eyebrow appearance can be obtained. Permanence can vary between 3-8 months.

Permanent Lip Makeup

It is used to make the lips more prominent, to shape them or to restore the shape of the lips that has been lost over time. Filling is not done in lip makeup. Because the lip is constantly moist, the filling process cannot be very permanent. Therefore, only lip contour is applied to the lip. In this process, which is done with a color close to the color of the lip itself, a natural appearance can be achieved. After the application, any cream, lipstick, etc. is not used for 3 days. Within a week, the color settles and the lip regains a normal appearance.

Permanent Eyeliner Application

In makeup, eyeliner is the most effective product used to shape the eye. Eyeliner, which can make the eye look bigger or smaller, slanted, etc., can increase the emphasis on the eye. In eyeliner application, which lasts up to 2 years, the person's eye is emphasized.

How Long Does Permanent Makeup Last?

The durability period of permanent makeup may vary from person to person. Skin structure, age, environmental factors can affect the durability period. For example, since brunette skin will regenerate faster, its durability may last shorter than light-skinned skin. In addition, the duration of permanence may vary according to the applied area. However, the technique used can also affect the duration of permanence. Micropigmentation is more permanent than microblading technique.

Permanent makeup application is a method that can be safely applied to anyone who is healthy. However, it is not done and not recommended in some cases.

Substances that are not suitable for the skin in terms of content can cause serious allergies, cancer, etc. risks.
