Tattoo Aftercare

Tattoo Aftercare Cream

Since an open wound is formed in the tattooed area, the tattoo artist first applies petroleum jelly to the tattooed area and wraps it with a nursing pad.

  • The nursing pad should be removed within 1 hour.

  • After removing the nursing pad, the tattooed area should be washed and disinfected with "drinking water" and "antibacterial soap".

  • After washing, the tattoo area should be dried only with a soft paper towel without pressing.

  • You can start using Escalade Ink tattoo care cream or coconut oil.

  • Please obtain the creams from our tattoo studio.

  • You should only use enough tattoo cream to moisturize the tattooed area (our studio will inform you how much to use according to the size of your tattoo).

  • You should apply the tattoo cream three times a day for the first week, twice a day for the second week and once a day for the next two weeks.

  • The cream application process should be continued until the tattoo crusts off and the shiny texture appears.

  • Absolutely and definitely Bepanthol and similar creams from the pharmacy should not be used.

  • You can take a shower with warm water at least 8 hours after the tattoo. Covering your tattoo area with "pure" petroleum jelly before showering will protect your tattoo better. Do not apply washcloths and similar items to your tattoo area during the shower.

  • You should avoid baths, solariums and saunas for at least 3 to 4 weeks after getting a tattoo.

  • If you are going on vacation after getting a tattoo, you should use a 50 factor water resistant sunscreen.

  • We recommend that you do not do sports for at least 1 to 2 weeks after getting a tattoo. You should avoid the damage that sweating can cause to the tattoo.

  • It should not be forgotten that the healing process of the tattoo takes at least 1 month.

  • When your tattoo scabs, please do not scratch and peel the scabs. To relieve itching, you can get rid of the itching sensation by gently tapping on your tattoo or scratching the nearby areas.

  • Depending on the size and color ratio of your tattoo, your tattoo may cause vomiting, this is a natural reaction of your skin. It is not a situation to worry about.

  • In case of burning and redness, please contact us.
